Our Tour & Explore: Ghost Edition takes you deep into the fort’s hidden spaces, where dark history, real stories and unexplained tales come together in an immersive experience unlike any ordinary tour.
Explore the terreplein, dry ditch, prison cells and underground tunnels, while live actors bring the fort’s darker stories to life around you. Hear chilling accounts from the past, uncover the people and events that have shaped this extraordinary place, and keep your eyes and ears open… you never know what you might encounter along the way!

Event Details:
Available tours are running twice daily on the following dates: 20th, 24th & 27th October
Arrival:
Am Tour: 10:45am for a 11:00am start
Pm Tour: 1:45pm for a 2:00pm start
Duration: Tours last approximately 2 hours

Important Information:
This is a walking tour lasting around two hours.
The route includes two staircases, uneven ground, dark areas, and narrow tunnels and underground spaces.
Suitable for ages 15+ only, must be accompanied by an adult if under 16.
Due to the historic nature of the site, wheelchair access is extremely limited, making this experience un-suitable.
Dogs are not permitted on the tours.
Please wear suitable footwear and clothing – dress for the weather!
Parking & Arrival
Please park beyond the fort in the car park on the left or right, and walk back to the entrance. Cross the bridge and proceed up the tunnel, where you will be met by the team for the fully escorted tour.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
