Tour
& Explore

This Autumn learn and discover the stories behind the fort’s imposing architecture, underground tunnels, defensive structures and panoramic hilltop position overlooking the Solent and English Channel. Along the way, our team will share the evolving history of the site, including the lives of the soldiers, engineers and personnel who once lived and worked within its walls.

The tour also includes access to areas rarely seen by the public, including the dramatic dry ditch and the recently uncovered remains of historic Nissen hut foundations, revealing how the fort developed into a self-contained military community over time.Whether you are interested in military history, hidden heritage, engineering or simply exploring unique places, this immersive walking tour offers a rare chance to experience the atmosphere and stories of Bembridge Fort up close.

Explore the fort like never before this Autumn!
